MEDC develops quality modular housing and supportive neighborhoods for veterans and low-income families. Strong homes. Stronger communities.
We develop high-quality, income-producing properties using AI-integrated smart home technology. The goal is simple. Uplift communities, attract investment, and support long-term economic growth.
We build durable, affordable single and multifamily homes designed for the families who live in them, not just the bottom line.
We connect families to the resources, partners, and programs that turn a house into a stable, supportive place to grow.
We help residents move from renting to owning, building generational wealth through new construction and homeownership.

Founder & Chief Executive Officer
U.S. Army Veteran | Licensed General Contractor | Community Development Leader
Michael A. Ross, MBA, is a U.S. Army veteran with 13 years of service and a Licensed General Contractor whose career has been defined by a single conviction: that every person deserves a safe, quality place to call home.
After serving his country, Michael channeled the discipline and leadership skills gained in uniform into community development. As the Founder & CEO of the Midtown Economic Development Company, he leads efforts to develop quality modular housing and create supportive, dignified neighborhoods for veterans and low-income families across Louisville, KY and the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
Michael also serves as CEO of The Future of Our Kids, a nonprofit organization that delivers clean water and essential community services in Kenya — a reflection of his belief that the mission of service never stops, regardless of borders.
MEDC is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned small business specializing in modular housing construction and community development for veterans and low-income families.
